And they have a consenting sexual relationship, is the woman also committing adultery (she is not married) or just premarital sex? What if she is unaware that the man is married and he does not mention that he is married - would that change anything?Christians, if a woman is sexually provocative towards a married man?
Fornication (sex outside of marriage) is a sin, so it does not matter.
As far as what adultery is, Jesus defined it in simpler terms.....
Matthew 5:27-28
27Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:
28But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.
Yeah, it goes for women too.Christians, if a woman is sexually provocative towards a married man?
Wow! What a question! Totally loaded hypothetical.
If she does not know he is married, I guess you could accuse her of being a hussy. Therefore premarital sex. Therefore sex outside of marriage.
Then there is the situation where she is aware and that would technically be adultery. You know Hester Primm stuff.
Personally its all hogwash. Sex up who you want and keep the morality to yourself. There will never be an easy answer.
Lust of the heart is as adulterous to God as actual adultery.
Something about be either hot or cold, though lukewarm gets spit out, or something like that. There's really not a whole lot of grey area when it comes to sin. It's either sin, or it's not. Though what it is is a bunch of hogwash, because all sin is the same to God.
The Bible says that even thinking about a person in a lustful way is committing adultery! so yes it is adultery... and no it does not change anything, even though it is his fault that she does not know he is married, any time of sexual activity outside of marriage is considered a sin!
I would say yes because she is promoting a sin, and that is a sin in its own. I don't know for sure but that's my best guess. If she is unaware? Absolutely not. God wouldn't hold her against her ignorance.
But dont sweat it, the 10 commandments were given to prove that all men sin and the only one who has not sinned is Christ
Adultery can only be committed by someone who is married. In that situation, the man is the adulterer, the woman, the fornicator. He broke his vows, she didn't.
It's not adultery, it's fornification. Sex should only happen within the bounderies of a marriage relationship. Anything outside of that is sin.
you seem to have an interest in christianity, start a personal relationship with Jesus, read the bible, your question is in there
ANY sex outside of the marriage arrangement is fornication and a sin. God views it as the same.
yes it is adultery if you have sex with someone you are not married to.
no Christian in his right sense of mind will do any thing like this
