Is marriage an obstruction to be worthy? Are those who married not entitled for resurrection?

LUKE: 20:

34 Jesus said to them, 鈥淭he people of this age marry and are given in marriage. 20:35 But those who are regarded as worthy to share in that age and in the resurrection from the dead neither marry nor are given in marriageIs marriage an obstruction to be worthy? Are those who married not entitled for resurrection?
Jesus contrasted like in the current age with life in the age to come. Because marriage will not be a part of the age to come, the Sadducees' absurd example (verses 28-33) does not apply. Jesus upheld the doctrine of resurrection in His reply, speaking of both the age to come and the resurrection, so that the two concepts were clearly associated. Jesus also noted that only those counted worthy would receive the benefits of the age to come.Is marriage an obstruction to be worthy? Are those who married not entitled for resurrection?
No, you've misunderstood. Go back and re-read verse 33:

33 ';Therefore, in the resurrection, whose wife does she become?';

The QUESTION asked of Jesus was ';when the resurrection of the dead happens during the Messianic Age, who will she be married to?';

Jesus responded by explaining that, in THIS Age, people in their natural bodies marry one another. But after they die and are resurrected, they will not be in the flesh, they will be GREATER than flesh beings. Therefore, marriage is not applicable to them, since it is a human institution only.
No, marriage is not an obstruction to worthiness. None of us is worthy, except by the grace of God, of the new life we will experience in the age of the resurrection which will not include a desire to marry. God bless.

How come Black guys don't respect that I am married to a White man?

I am a Black lady and a lot of Black guys give me a hard time because I married a White man. They won't say anything to him because my husband is a body builder and he is 6'6'; and about 255.How come Black guys don't respect that I am married to a White man?
Because they are full of s***. They feel they're the only ones who can date white women but want to regulate who black women date. How come Black guys don't respect that I am married to a White man?
I think you just answered yourself. The problem is respect. They don't want to give it to you, so you shouldn't give it to them by paying any attention to what they say.
it's a double standard thing. they can date latina women white women . etc now a days there isnt Much black women in the music video's there are so quick to put a white or spanish chick in their video's i dont see justin timberlake with any latina or black girl in his video. but as soon as another guy aprreaciates you. they try to make you feel guilty. '; why didnt you marry a brotha';
Stupid train wrecks can't even respect themselves. Ask yourself why they kill their brothas on the streets over drugs and run away from their responsibility like little boys.
your not black

your not married

your dont have a bodybuilder husband

your lieing.
Because it's not the norm. People are always critical of things that are different. And plus, most people are attracted to their own race above all else, so they won't understand why you didn't marry a black man, and married a white man instead.

Also, whites and blacks have a horrible history that many people have not forgotten, on both sides. Tensions between the two groups aren't going to help, either.

Can you be married over a long distance?

Can two people get married without actually being physically together during the marriage? For example, can the marriage licence be mailed to one person so they can sign it, and then mailed back to the judge? Or is there another way of doing this? Can you be married over a long distance?
No..you have to be physically present for a Justice of a Peace to verify who you are and say that you two were in fact the ones getting married.

The problem with what you are describing is what if someone steals someones ID or is a stalker. They could, in theory , marry someone without the other person knowing if they stole the other person's personal ID.

If you thought someone stealing your ID to run up a credit card is bad...think of how bad it would be to find out one day that you are legally married and being divorced for half of everything you own. Or your income tax refund being cashed in by your ';new spouse'; after they file a joint income tax return with your name on it.

Lots of bad things can happen if two people aren't there in person to be verify everything. Can you be married over a long distance?
Oh, probably, somewhere. You would have to check the laws of solemnizing a marriage in the relevant jurisdiction BUT make sure the solemnization is recognized in the place you each of you intends to live or you will have a conflict of laws case that will keep attys humming and billing you for years!
No. You must be physically standing next to each other during the ceremony. You can't get married through the mail, why would you want to?
its impossible
why the hell would you want to do that? No i dont think its legal
why the hell would you want to do that

Is their any decent priced places that we can get married at around Cambridge Ontario?

We are in need of a place to be married at around Cambridge and surrounding area. I have called many different places and the average price is $600 however I believe that is an outrageous price for just a half hour. Can someone help me please! Is their any decent priced places that we can get married at around Cambridge Ontario?
I live down by Sarnia Ontario- but have you tried city parks- they are usually quite cheap (we are paying $120 for our wedding at the park) or maybe a family members backyard (free!)... If you are having a 20 minute wedding or less then people can stand and you only need a few chairs for any elderly guests...

I have a financial aid question about when you get married?

This year i will be getting married in July and currently my efc is 2203 and hers EFC is 10100. We are both enrolled in college right now , she is getting her Masters in Social Work and I am working to towards my Associates in Commnity College then hopefully transfer the last 2 years in a university. I would like to know what happens when we get married, will it affect me getting federal aide after we have our incomes combined? Thanks for anyones help.I have a financial aid question about when you get married?
Yes it will. My husband has been in college for a majority of the 2 years we have been married. Although we didn't know our EFC scores before, we have not yet qualified for any aid from the government. I just recieved my FAFSA results because I will be starting school in the summer and once again we I didn't qualify for anything. I always heard getting married helps you get more aid, well I must be doing something wrong then because the only way we can afford college is by student loans. I wish you both well and I hope that your college journey and your marriage are a happy one.

TIP: I recently scored a 5807 for my EFC and that was still too high for free money.I have a financial aid question about when you get married?
It depends on how old you are. If you and she are still going by your parents income and do not work, then it will probably help you get more financial aid. However, if this is your personal EFC from your income and her EFC from her income... then combining the two incomes will probably make you not get as much financial aid. If you or her don't have a high personal income (%26gt;30k) then you will get more money.

For example, if you make 10,000 and she makes 20,000 then they will combine the two incomes and you will get less money. But if you don't work and she doesn't work... then you will get full financial aid.

Also, this will not happen until you do your tax returns for next year. So if your getting married in 2008 the your financial aid will not change until the 2009 - 2010 school year.

  • Is it normal to masturbate a lot when you're married and have sex a lot?

I have sex with my wife at least 2 times a day. But I masturbate about 3 times a day its just a lot faster and less work than having sex. Before I met her I used to masturbate for people I met online through msn messenger (i still do if you are interested ;) ) I don't feel guilty for it, it actually makes it really exciting. Is it normal to masturbate a lot when you're married and have sex a lot?
It's normal to masterbate alot whether you are married or not. Thanks for the IM invite, but definetly not interested. I'm sure this question was posted so you can get some action. Didn't work with me, but good luck.

P.S. If I had someone physically there to fulfill my needs, I wouldn't need IM. Maybe you need to work on your bedroom activities with the wife.Is it normal to masturbate a lot when you're married and have sex a lot?
Well, Mr Anonymous, private questions, signed up today, sounds like you are simply looking for someone to have IM sex with.

There is no abnormal amount of masturbation and it's a shame that your sex with your wife it too much work.

But fear not, I'm sure she's masturbating on line with other people as well.
First don't do it online anymore because if she finds out you are gonna be sooo BUSTED, and I think that it's normal to still do it even if you are married.
I do sometimes, but not as often as I did when I was dating.

Is it better to live with a woman married or unmarried?

I know its not right in Gods eyes but I want to see if it can work out first and I'm enaged to her. I'm having second thoughts. Is it better to live with a woman married or unmarried?
Rutgers University Study - Should We Live Together?

Cohabiting couples breakup three times more than married couples. Cohabiting couples that later marry have a 46% higher rate of divorce than those who did not cohabit prior to marriage.

\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\Is it better to live with a woman married or unmarried?
I believe that everyone that contemplates marriage should live together for a spell first... even if you choose not to have sex, living together allows you to really see all of the facets of this person.

Dating allows people to put their best face on, their best foot forward, at some point you have to see people as they really are on a day to day basis.... and if then you still feel the love and attraction, then you know you might have found what you are looking for.

My wife is a staunch Catholic girl and even we lived together for 8 months before we married. (No sex either!)

We got to know each other, to learn from each other, to work out dumb little things, sort out squabbles and petty annoyances... all before the big day. It was such a special time.. It was kind of like playing house... each of us learning what it meant to be there for someone for the first time in our lives. That was so long ago but the experience only made the foundation that our marriage is built upon all the stronger...I love her more every day... soul-mates.
Marry her and you'll regret it the rest of your life.

If you must marry someone for the purposes of children, go to a third world country where the women will actually appreciate you. Marrying a western girl is worse than sticking your head in the microwave and cooking for 45 minutes.
Ask Her how she feels. In SOME cases it's ok. (like mine:)

We do it because: I am epileptic and have serious health problems sometimes. He has no insurance, and so I have a better chance just not being legally married. We are in our hearts. So, financial reasons for some. If no reasons...you have to ask yourself why? Is it because you think ';it'; will end. Or NOW your grown up. DONT loose a chance in life you deserve, and dont lead her on.Friendship is what its mainly about, if shes your best friend...your all good. If far from it, run.
married in the eyes of god

    that s the right way

and that s what would make her happy

don t be scared ,don t have kids too soon wait a year or two,to see how things are going,so if you ever don t like her you can get a divorce.
I wouldn't move in with my guy until we had a wedding date set. However, there is no requirement to live with someone before you get married. What are you going to do if she says no before the wedding? End the engagement?
If you live with her you might figure out if you want to marry her or not.
If you marry in SOME countries there are tax breaks, but also the risk of divorce. It isnt a black and white question.
They sleep the same way married or not.
    Wait until you're married. :)
if your having second thoughts dont get married
